Codebook: Variables, universes, concepts, survey design and frequency distribution
The Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1968 comprises 11 omnibus surveys conducted by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1968. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables and some variables dealing with current topics. The demographic variables are common to all the surveys and form the basis of the 'year file' which contains the demographic variables for all the cases of the 11 surveys. The common variables are: residence according to degree of urbanization, the respondent's sex, age, marital and occupational status, education and gross income, the household gross income, occupational status of head of household, size of household, type of dwelling, number of children under the age of 15, the age of the children, number of adults in the household, the respondent's position in the household, occupational status of the housewife, social group and party preference. # #The topics dealt with in the special variables in this survey are: # #Purchasing flowers for somebody or for use in the household; attitudes to students and the youth revolt; and orthography (nouns with small or capital letters)
