Codebook: Variables, universes, concepts, survey design and frequency distribution
Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1960 comprises 22 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1960. # #Each survey contains a number of recurring questions (common to all or most of the surveys of the year) as well as a number of special questions concerning topical events. This survey contains the data for recurring and special questions for omnibus no. 36. # #The recurring questions are: the respondent's sex, age and marital status, the occupational status of the head of the household (in omnibus no. 29: of the respondent), the occupa- tion of the housewife, the suppporter's income, the social group of the respondent, degree og urbanization, party pre- ference (not included in omnibus nos. 03, 11, 12 and 13), com- position of family and size of household (not included in omnibus nos. 03, 04, 05 and 07) and whether the household owns a car (only included in omnibus nos. 03, 11, 12 and 13). # #The special questions deal with such issues as: #The Berlin Crisis (Should the Western World adopt an intransigent attitude as regards the Berlin question - even at the risk of an- other world war?); collective bargaining (state intervention or labour market conflict); development aid (the 1% target); and some questions about whether voting should be a duty or a right (at general elections)
