Codebook: Variables, universes, concepts, survey design and frequency distribution
Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1971 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1971. # #Each of the 11 omnibuses consists of a number of recurring questions as well as a number of special questions (concerning topical events). Omnibus no. 10 comprises all the questions put to a total of 1354 persons (the number weighted=1997). # #The omnibus includes questions about e.g. the respondent's residence according to degree of urbanization, sex, age and marital status; the respondent's occupational status and education. In addition to this, some questions have been included which deal with the respondent's gross income, gross household income, the bread-winner's occupation, number of persons in household, type of accommodation, number of children (persons under 15), number of adults (persons aged 15 and over), the respondent's status in household, spouse's status, social group, and party preference. These questions are common to all 1971 omnibuses. # This survey includes questions about the turn-out at the 1968 general election; a Social Democratic minority government versus another VKR government; various aspects of Danish membership of the EC; the right of Faroese and Greenland members of the Folketing to influence 'purely' Danish matters; the rule requiring a party to win 2% of votes cast in order to be represented in Parliament; vote at the last general election; and forms of address (the deferential 'De' versus the familiar 'du')
