Codebook: Variables, universes, concepts, survey design and frequency distribution
Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1969 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1969. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 07. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1969 omnibuses are: degree of urbani- zation; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in household (children/adults, over/under 15); occupational status of head of household; total income of family; the respondent's occupational status; the respondent's educational status; the respondent's in- come; position in household of respondent and spouse; occupational status of housewife; social class; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Attitudes to Danish membership of the EC (provided that Great Britain joins the EC simultaneously); attitudes to the pro- posed Scandinavian Economic Union; attitudes to abortion (le- gal/criminal); assessment of the Danish political parties and their views on the electoral age; attitudes to the European Athletics Championship in Greece; assesssment of the Greek junta; noise, smells, and pollution; attitudes to better pollution con- trol through higher taxes; and pollution control versus develop- ment aid
