Codebook: Variables, universes, concepts, survey design and frequency distribution
Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1969 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1969. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 01. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1969 omnibuses are: degree of urbani- zation; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in household (children/adults, over/under 15); occupational status of head of household; total income of family; the respondent's occupational status; the respondent's educational status; the respondent's in- come; position in household of respondent and spouse; occupational status of housewife; social class; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Assessment of the TV serial 'The Forsyte Saga'; winter holiday plans; the effects of the P.A.Y.E. tax system on work (house- wives with employment outside the home/sidelines); attitudes to corporal punishment of children; reduced working hours per day versus reduced working hours per week; Saturdays off from work; attitudes to Israel and the Arab states; TV in household; and possession of summer cottage
