Abstract

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1963 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1963. A total of 12 surveys were carried out in 1963, but omnibus no. 02 could nor be located among the data materials received from the Roper Center. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 07. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1963 omnibuses are: degree of ur- banization; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in house- hold and composition of household; occupational status of head of household and of supporter; income of head of household and total income of family; education of respondent; occupational status of housewife; social group; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Whether the household has received the pamphlet on the Land Laws, and how thoroughly the respondent has read it; what political party the respondent thinks has done best and least well since the last general election; attitude to Denmark joining the EC with or without Great Britain; vote at the referendum on the Land Laws on 25 June; attitude to Denmark becoming a republic as things are now and if the throne should be occupied by a person outside the present Royal Family; and whether the respondent thinks that the Danish King should have more power to influence political matters than he has at present
